First Things First

Matthew chapter 6 is part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, where He teaches His followers
how to live as citizens of God's Kingdom. Throughout this chapter, Jesus
addresses giving, prayer, fasting, money, and worry. He reminds His listeners
that the Father already knows what they need and that life is about more than
chasing temporary things.

Jesus calls us to make God's Kingdom and His righteousness our first pursuit. When
God is first, everything else falls into its proper place.
